WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA (January 25, 2010) – The Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing along with HMS Technologies President/CEO Harry Siegel, were discussing ways that our organizations can work for the betterment of the veterans in our local area. We discussed a partnership in exchanging information and ideas that will help eliminate the problems that plaques veterans in today society the sense of security and having a job, housing and most of all food on their plates for themselves and their families.
HMS Technologies received an invitation from the President, DVCH to joining our “Veterans Partner’s Group”, which consist of veterans organizations, like the Wounded Warriors nonprofit organizations, the Virginia Employment Commission, Veterans Outreach Program and of course the Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing, which our missions has only one goal, and that’s “The betterment of all veterans through employment, spiritual and other resources that would allow the veteran have independence to function daily……
Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing:
The Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing (DVCH) carries out a comprehensive program aimed at providing affordable and accessible housing for disabled veterans throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic states, our services are FREE to our veterans.. This is an extremely important initiative as there are so many disabled veterans who qualify for VA housing and other grants, can also obtain permanent financing, among other things, but are not building new accessible homes. The DVCH we can assist veterans in their efforts to realize a dream of obtaining a new accessible home and becoming INDEPENDENT.
The Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing continues to refine and improved the organization’s veteran outreach and other programs. We feel it is our duty and obligation to serve the veterans who served our country with pride and honor but returned home with a debilitating injury and are 100% disabled. One can imagine what these veterans suffer each and every day. The DVCH is dedicated to improving the quality of their lives by helping them build or remodel their home so it meets their medical needs.
Vision: The Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing will do all in its power to assure that veterans can live as independently as possible
